Birthday week at Wiz Manor is almost done. I took this whole week off and goofed off most of the time. Some important things got taken care of, but a majority of those important things fell into the “watching movies on the couch with the dog” category. (He typically doesn’t care about TV, but he was riveted last night for the first 15 minutes of Night of the Lepus. Certainly helped that they said “rabbit” about 20 times in a row. Once he realized it was all talk and no eating of rabbits, he lost interest.)
I also polished off a lot of half-full bottles (ever the optimist!) of previous wine picks. But this week I found something different and so delicious and fun, I had to share it with you. I found a 4-pack of Graft Cidery 'Birds of Paradise' Moscow Mule Cider at Trader Joe’s!
It’s inspired by the Moscow mule cocktail, made up of vodka, lime juice, and ginger beer. Instead of vodka, we’ve got hard cider, and hibiscus to give it this pretty pink color. I love it! It’s not too terribly sweet, thanks to the bite from the ginger and lime. It’s just under 7%, so not too boozy either.
This will make a terrific offering for holiday guests who don’t like wine. (Yes, we have to be kind to those poor souls. It’s the season of charity.) And aren’t those cans festive?! I’d buy this again just for myself for sipping on the aforementioned couch during the aforementioned movies.
Need any other suggestions for holiday serving or gifting? Hit me up in the comments and we’ll talk about it!
